It is crucial to maintain a clear distinction between service reminders and marketing campaigns. Finally, the option to opt out must not be hidden: customers must be able to easily opt out of the reminder system at any time, ideally with a single message. This is not only a GDPR requirement but also an important sign of trust. Anyone who fails to implement this properly risks more than just the channel — namely, the customer relationship itself.
