The approach

Enter WhatsExpo™ — a WhatsApp -based lead capture system designed for events.

At the Dreifive booth during OMR 2024, visitors were invited to take part in a giveaway. Large displays and booth staff directed attendees to scan a QR code, which instantly opened a WhatsApp chat.

Inside WhatsApp, the chatbot guided users through a short, engaging flow:

    • Opting into the giveaway
    • Sharing basic lead details directly via chat
    • Booking on-site meetings with Dreifive consultants

All data was automatically validated and exported into the CRM, making manual input obsolete.

Dreifive didn’t stop at lead capture. They also tapped into WhatsApp’s newsletter functionality during the fair. Each afternoon around 5 p.m., all participants who had engaged with the booth received a WhatsApp newsletter inviting them to the booth party.

The effect was immediate: the stand filled quickly, because while almost nobody checks emails during OMR, everyone checks their WhatsApp.
