Limitations of the app version
The app version has clear limitations. You can only use WhatsApp; no Messenger, no Instagram. The configuration options are limited to the essentials. Detailed reporting functions are largely absent. And if several staff members are required to manage the agent together, the app quickly reaches its limits.

The Meta Business Suite: Who it’s right for
The Meta Business Suite is the professional management interface for businesses that want more than just a basic agent on a single channel. It runs in a browser, is optimised for desktop use and gives you significantly more control over all aspects of the agent.
Strengths of the Business Suite
The key benefit is multi-channel management. You can manage WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram from a single interface. Customers who contact you via Instagram DMs receive the same level of service as those who message you on WhatsApp, because the same agent is handling both.
On top of that, there’s significantly greater configuration flexibility. Instructions can be formulated more precisely, handover rules can be fine-tuned, and you have access to performance data that shows you just how well the agent is actually performing. For teams, the Business Suite is also the only option that enables effective joint management.
Limitations of the Business Suite
The setup is a bit more involved than in the app. It’s not complicated, but you do need an active Facebook Page with messaging enabled and a fully configured Meta Business Account. If you don’t have these yet, you’ll need to meet these requirements first before you can set up the agent.
